Roy Smith scores the first of two Winston West wins in 1990, it was his
penultimate victory in the series.

Also then-reigning Daytona 500 winner Derrike Cope makes his lone West
start of 1990 and his last true one in the series. Cope departed with a
top-5, he remains one of the most notable drivers to have come out of
the West series.
