Nice name of the race. I just wonder why they used just first 2 letters

a quick google search shows Alpha Beta were a chain of Grocery Stores in
California

Still very interesting name for a company or for a race. Especially for
those people who study engineering and meet the Greek letters like
alpha, beta, gama or delta almost every day.
