This race came down to a battle between the Krogh brothers during the
Idaho rookie duo's only full-time Winston West campaign. Rookie Mark
Krogh scores his only Winston West win in just his sixth start in the
series by passing his older brother Jeff Krogh with 27 laps to go. Butch
Gilliland also passed Jeff Krogh and made a go of it but Mark Krogh held
him off to score the only victory for either of the brothers during
their lone full-time West series campaign.

Tuscon local Carl Trimmer makes his only West start and comes home a
very respectable sixth.
