Last race as Winston West series
Not a lot of these people have had a major effect on NASCAR, if anybody

There was a race at California Speedway scheduled on November 8th that
would support the CART race, but both were cancelled due to the San
Bernandino county wildfires.

Race was rescheduled from Saturday October 18, 2003 to Sunday October
19, 2003.
It's the final race of the 2003 Schedule. The season final at Fontana
(November 1, 2003) was cancelled due to wildfires.

Scott Lynch finishes fourth and as a result claims the Winston West
championship as a rookie, besting Mike Duncan by just 14 points and
Steve Portenga by 33 points as he claimed the title. All three would
have had a shot at the title at Fontana if it had been run. Lynch was
just the series' second rookie champion.

Mike Duncan's second career Winston West victory could not have come at
a better time. The win propelled him past Steve Portenga into second in
the seasons final point standings.
