Jim Inglebright, driver of the No. 1 car, was penalized under section 12-4-A of the 2006 NASCAR Rule Book: actions detrimental to stock car racing; section 12-4-Q: any determination by NASCAR officials that the car, car parts, components, and/or equipment used in the event do not conform to NASCAR rules; and section 20C-12.3A: unapproved shock absorber components, pistons. As a result of the violation, Inglebright's finish in the race will be moved from 10th place to 23rd place. Boris Said, driver of the No. 57 car, was also penalized for the same infractions. Said's finishing position will be moved from second place to 22nd place. 7. It was also the series' first time racing as an undercard event at the track to the Cup series' annual trip to the California road course, from 1989 to 1997 the series previously ran a combination race here with the Cup guys instead. 8. rm posted: 07.14.2020 - 9:35 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Apparently Brian Vickers' winning car in this race was a car that Ricky Hendrick had formerly tested as a road course car but never raced in.
