The #42 bounced and rolled a total of three times before landing on all fours in front of a tire barrier, and moments later Jefferson climbed out unhurt. 2. I've seen the wreck, I didn't think there was anyway that thing was going to get going again. 3. But after a race marred by twelve full course cautions, I think I know. 5. Have there been any flips in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West besides Rogelio Lopez at Auto Club Speedway in 2006 and Jeff Jefferson at Sonoma Raceway in 2008? 6. Morris stalled early in the race to bring out a yellow and ultimately finished a few laps down. 10. rm posted: 06.05.2020 - 4:51 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) This race still holds the NASCAR record for most cautions at Sonoma with 12. Only two other races have broken into the double digits - the Southwest tour race in 1992 and the West race last year, in 2019. The Cup record is 9 in 1990, the second Cup race at the track. Since then, all Cup races at Sonoma have featured 7 or fewer cautions except for 2005, which had 8. The 40 cautions laps are still the NASCAR record at the track as well. I don't think I've ever seen as many multi-car incidents in a Sonoma race as there were in this one, they were being very generous to the drivers by only officially listing three of the accidents involving multiple cars. The frequent cautions the kept the field bunched up together no doubt played a role in that. 11. Cole Moore and Jesse Love will try give McAnally his first at wine country this year on June 5th ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
