Paulie Harraka's NASCAR West debut lasts less than three laps. He will
well down the running order here but success was right around the corner
for him in the coming seasons.

Souza's unlikely upset here ended a streak of four straight West road
course wins by Bob Bruncati's Sunrise Ford team. Three of those had come
courtesy of Jason Bowles, who promptly returned to victory lane in the
first road course race of 2009 at Utah.
Souza has led just three laps across his other 84 West series starts,
all coming at road courses. Souza has led four total West races, coming
at a different road course each time.
