Brian Ickler and David Mayhew were having a great battle for second place, would have been a great competition had KB not stunk up the show. I'm not a KB hater, but this is the most prestigious points-paying event for both series and it turned into a KB media circus. Guys with great runs in this race got shafted. First West win for Mayhew under the West-East combination format. 2. Darrell posted: 05.19.2009 - 9:35 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Agreed Tim. I have nothing against Kyle, but I'm sick of this guy running every race he can just to trounce all of the competition. He doesn't need the money or attention! On a positive note, thanks again to Racing-Reference for finding all of these results! 3. Dodge posted: 05.19.2009 - 12:46 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) You can not blame Kyle for this. The promoters called him and asked if he wanted to race. In 2007, Harvick finished second in this event and Kahne finished second in 2008. 4. Like has been said, the track owners invite one of the top Cup drivers to this race. Kyle Busch was the first to actually get the win. 2007 was a great race between Harvick and then-rookie Joey Logano. 2. Ken Schrader drove for Hendrick and even when he didn't, he won tons of races in the smaller divisions and local tracks while in Cup and often had the best car. 3. Kyle Busch MADE the #18 the best ride in Cup. Anyone remember J.J. Yeley? 4. Busch drove a CWSE regular car. Kyle Busch drove the same car rookie Matt DiBenedetto drove in the first two East races. He won at Tri-County. 5. I also can't wait to see East Series (Busch North) results on here. 9. chris o posted: 01.13.2013 - 9:27 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) david mayhew highest west finisher ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
