It's the first championship for Kwasniewski as Pursley comes up six points short of back-to-back crowns. Michael Self leads flag-to-flag to claim his first real West series victory on an oval. Self earned the West win earlier in the year at Iowa Speedway in the combination race but East Series driver Corey LaJoie won that event overall. 2. He turns 18 next May and his K&N West results have been very impressive. He's run essentially 2 full seasons in the West series and he's racked up 20 top 5's and 24 top 10 finishes in 28 starts. Impressive numbers for somebody who's 17 years old. 3. Rexrobe posted: 11.11.2012 - 2:44 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) To put all the effort into a fifty lap race... seems sort of pointless. Congrats to Dylan. Hopefully he will break the mold of young drivers moving up the ranks with no open seats at the top. 4. For a series that only runs two races on oval tracks one-mile or bigger, fifty laps is more than acceptable. I've seen similar cars run on tracks of similar size to Phoenix much more than fifth laps and it was awful. 5. Talk4Tar posted: 11.11.2012 - 5:13 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) *Fifty miles. 6. To date it's still his lone start in the series. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
