Cole Custer wins the pole, leads the most laps, and scores his
first-ever K&N West series victory. He also won the pole for the series'
previous race at Phoenix last November.

Rookie Nick Drake scores a podium in his K&N West debut

NASCAR Canadian Tire Series champion D.J. Kennington scores his first
West series top-5. All six of his starts in the series to date have been
at Phoenix.

Gray Gaulding won last year with one lap lead after a bump on Cole
Custer on the last corner. This year Gray ran only one lap.... and a
"free" Cole Custer won the race !

First start since 2009 on a Chevrolet for Greg Pursley.

Awesome run for DJ Kennington, in a car painted up like his old
Nationwide cars. Thing was a tad odd looking though, since it was
running 1st gen COT Charger decals.

Cole Custer gets the W at the track in which he is owed. Last time
there, Gray Gaulding dumped him on the final lap from multiple car
lengths back in an incident that couldn't have been more deliberate, and
this time, Cole never had to worry about dirty driving during another
dominating effort was the first car out of the race.
