Chris Eggleston wins what'll likely be the final West series race at
Irwindale after an excellent fight with Kern County winner Dalton
Sargeant and Ryan Partridge. Nicole Behar finishes second, which I think
is the highest finishing spot by a female in one of NASCAR's top series
(though that does vary depending on whether or not the old Goody's Dash
series could be considered a top series, as Shawna Robinson did win a
race in that series). Fantastic run nonetheless.

The decision to tear down Irwindale and replace it with an outlet mall
was made about two and half weeks before this race.

Ignoring Kenzie Ruston's 2nd place overall in the combo-race at Iowa
last year and Tammy Jo Kirk's multiple second place finishes in the All
Pro Series.

LOL! No, she's not...Joy only has a daughter named Eve. She became a
grandmother for the 1st time in 2011 when Eve had a boy named Luca.
