Incredible and historic finish by females Julia Landauer and Nicole Behar, 2nd and 3rd of the race ! Curiously Hannah Newhouse was never on the top this race. Ryan Partridge made a mistake on the last restart, cost him the tittle ? First race in career for Larry Hull. Strong performance for Stafford Smith and Rich DeLong III in the top10. One more race in 2016 season at All American. 5. Neither of the two of them have ever shown the speed to run that close to the front. 6. nascar_vd / Racing-Reference.info posted: 09.25.2016 - 5:44 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) Finally first top10 in career for Rich DeLong III. 7. nascar_vd / Racing-Reference.info posted: 09.25.2016 - 5:50 pm Rate this comment: (3) (0) Julia entered the top 5 on the 70th lap. Then she did the majority of the rest of the race in the top3. And she did not speed? She has 12 top 10 in 13 races. Equality with Todd Gilliland, Noah Gragson and Ryan Partridge. She makes an excellent rookie season. 8. chevyfan98 posted: 09.25.2016 - 5:57 pm Rate this comment: (4) (1) Julia Landauer is fifth in points. Methinks someone just doesn't like the up and coming female racers because by the time they're ready to move up, NASCAR won't need Danica anymore as a gimmick because there will be real female drivers. 9. Kevin Colley posted: 09.25.2016 - 6:00 pm Rate this comment: (2) (0) That's exactly what it is. Landauer and Behar are legit talents who earned their way into those rides, and Hannah Newhouse has done fairly well in her limited starts in the series. Each of those three can drive. 10. Danica10Racer posted: 09.25.2016 - 6:01 pm Rate this comment: (0) (10) It's easy to get top 10's when you are in a series with about 9 competitive cars. All it means is that she didn't tear equipment up. Same goes with Behar, Kenzie Ruston was only a little bit more impressive than the two of them but very mediocre by NASCAR standards. There is something that all three of them have in common about their last full season in a K&N season: 0. That is, 0 laps led. If you can't run up front at this level, you have no chance in higher levels. At least the Canadian girl in the East series has that going for her. When it's all said and done, another set of women in NASCAR that don't live up to their hype. All of them want to be the next Danica yet they don't have as much talent as Danica does in her pinky fingers. 11. murb posted: 09.25.2016 - 6:12 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) Gilliland seriously looks unbelievably good. Really interested to see him move up the ladder (is he scheduled for any Truck races or anything later in the year? - I seem to remember that he had signed a KBM development deal or something, but maybe I made that up). Also, in case anyone is curious about the race title: 208 is the statewide area code in Idaho. As an Idahoan myself I think that's a nice little touch... 12. Noone posted: 09.25.2016 - 6:12 pm Rate this comment: (0) (1) LOL They might not be the most talented drivers, but saying Danica has a lot of talent is rather dumb..Danica probably would struggle to get a top 10 in the series in their cars, and you would say she is doing a great job.. 13. murb posted: 09.25.2016 - 6:13 pm Rate this comment: (3) (0) "All of them want to be the next Danica yet they don't have as much talent as Danica does in her pinky fingers." Julia Landauer has more top fives in West this year than Danica does in her entire stock car career combined. 14. nascar_vd / racing-reference.info posted: 09.25.2016 - 6:15 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Look back the stats in K&N East of Chase Elliott... And with your criteria he was a very mediocre driver at the time. Especially in 2011 rookie season. And now it's a Sprint Cup star. Thanks the Elliott name ? Yes until this year. Just misogynist? 15. Danica10Racer posted: 09.25.2016 - 6:18 pm Rate this comment: (0) (11) @12 Danica has raced one East race, only a few races into her stock car career. She finished 6th. It was a way more talented field than this year's West, last year's West or last year's East field. @13 Danica has only raced one race at Landauer's level. The comparison is not even there, you know it and I know it. Good troll bait though. When Julia, Kenzie, Nicole or any of the diversity women get a ride in a top 3 series then we can talk about statistics. We will never talk about that though, because none of them will ever make it unless their family pays out of pocket. Ruston already has shown that she won't get that chance, we will find out about the other two soon enough. On a different note, how about Julia goes and races in Indycar? She will be the equivalent to Milka Duno or Marty Roth. 16. Kevin Colley posted: 09.25.2016 - 6:29 pm Rate this comment: (4) (0) I don't know what jumped into your crawl today, but you are really belittling the talent of the other females in this sport. You talk about giving women such as Danica a chance in NASCAR - and Danica's more than had her fair share of chances and still can't do much with a top-quality ride that's second only to the Gibbs cars in the performance department - and then what do you do? You go out and rail the females who actually are trying to move up through the ranks the right way and not use NASCAR as a means to increase their own notoriety or popularity. Does Danica have talent? Without question, she does. The problem is, Danica doesn't want to truly work to become the best in racing, unlike Julia, Nicole, etc., who actually have a desire to become great at what they're doing. 17. I really couldn't care less if you are a Danica fan, but it's extremely childish to be putting down these other girls who are putting up better numbers than she is (no matter if East/West is shallow right now) despite them having lesser equipment (I do see that Mike Curb is Landauer's owner, so I do imagine some good money is going in there, but even then it's not the SHR/JRM/Hendrick stuff Danica has had her entire career through each series). But whatever. I don't know why I jumped in on this since I'm pretty much just stating the obvious. Sorry. 19. I could state the most obvious fact here and most people would blindly disagree because I'm the most polarizing figure on this website. 20. 02Justin10 posted: 09.25.2016 - 6:51 pm Rate this comment: (2) (0) "All of them want to be the next Danica yet they don't have as much talent as Danica does in her pinky fingers." -Danica10Racer/Hypocrite These talented ladies probably wanted to race in NASCAR well before Danicamania arrived on the circuit. And I'm tired of you saying all these ladies want to be the next Danica Patrick. Because honestly, that's insulting. After Danica placed 4th in the Indy 500, she has never had to work to secure rides and/or funding. She shows up every week knowing her results don't matter because she keeps corporate money flowing. Eventually, a talented female racer will make it to cup and will win something. And when that happens, Danica will be a distant memory. (Perhaps Danica10Racer is also a hypocrite. Perhaps he believes women should only be in NASCAR if they look good. And/or he's one of those fans who doesn't want to see any woman succeed (other than Danica). Actually when you think about it, he wants no other women to succeed anywhere in racing.) 21. Tylor Thaber posted: 09.25.2016 - 7:27 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) @19 So basically...a driver who, despite a strong car, runs in the low twenties in the top division of stock cars and only keeps a ride because of who she is...is better than not one...but THREE (throwing in Van Wieringen) drivers two steps down with only decent cars who pull off top fives and come close to winning? I don't get you. OH WAIT. I NEVER HAVE GOTTEN YOU. Danica has fans (you aren't even a fan, you're a teenage jerk-off), and she does have at least the talent to keep the car on the road and not drive like an idiot, which is a good step above how she once was. But she has no potential left. And thus, the revolving door of drivers rotates. If only money wasn't acting as a doorstop to prevent better drivers from moving up. 24. If she were to leave, Custer or anyone else will have to bring comparable sponsorship or the 10 car will disappear along with Patrick. Whatever one might think of Patrick's stock car driving skills (I have her in the bottom third or even bottom quarter of Sprint Cup drivers, but that's just me) she is not depriving a more highly skilled driver of a ride. She hired SHR, not vice versa. 38. FrontRowMotorsportsFan posted: 09.26.2016 - 12:56 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) That's a good point. She needs some races in Xfinity & Trucks. 39. rm posted: 09.26.2016 - 1:03 pm Rate this comment: (1) (1) I really think she wouldn't be a bad addition to the Xfinity veterans like Sadler or Gaughan or Allgaier/Regan Smith in the 7 - drivers who had their shot in Cup but are performing better in Xfinity. Danica didn't do bad in Xfinity at all racing for JR, maybe she slides back into the 7 in Xfinity a few years down the road - I can't see her possibly doing much worse or better than the average Xfinity vet. 40.
