Derek Thorn picks up his second win of the season. This was his first
West series race at Evergreen since his last full-time campaign in 2013.

Weird that Tyler Tanner is eligible for rookie of the race when he's got
half a season in the Truck series under his belt.

@6 I agree. That being said, since Tyler only has one previous start in
the K&N West Series, that could be why he was eligible for that award.

John Andretti was eligible for the 2006 Rookie of the year award in the
Xfinity series, despite the fact that he had 340 starts and 2 wins in
the cup series.

Yup, Deegan finished two spots behind a guy with Truck experience and
right behind a guy with just as much K&N experience as her. I don't see
why you're bashing her, she doesn't need to set the world on fire.

There are a few good drivers in the Series with strong potential. And
the good cars are great. But this West is a far cry from the good old
days. To think we use to start 25-30 cars. The end days are a downer.

How did Thorn get 5 points over 2nd place this race? 3 for the win + 1
for leading a lap = 4 points. Kraus got the point for leading most laps.

You forgot the extra point from 2nd to 1st (not including the 3 point bonus)

Leading the most laps and winning would net 48 points.

Thanks Maverick19. You are correct. I was thinking the 3 bonus points
included the position. Looking back at previous races, I was wrong.
