Ever since Iowa it's been looking more and more like the #9 car is being neglected. 4. James posted: 09.29.2018 - 5:05 pm Rate this comment: (0) (1) Only 14 cars... Sad. I know K&N Pro Series is a lot easier than Trucks, Xfinity and Cup, but it's definitely a historical thing. Damn! And that girl isn't even 18 years old... See, Danica? Some race can be won normally by a woman... No help in form of fuel mileage or rain. 18. Dan posted: 09.30.2018 - 8:49 am Rate this comment: (3) (3) "See, Danica? Some race can be won normally by a woman... No help in form of fuel mileage or rain." Nope, none of that, just punting your teammate on the last lap, that's all. 19. We need more Onion posted: 09.30.2018 - 9:09 am Rate this comment: (7) (0) It's okay to bash Danica for the shit she deserves flack for, but for f**k's sake, she was at least all right in Indycar, which even in its most laughable days is incomparable to the damn' West Series... Not to mention that - 1. Deegan is racing for the best team in the series. 2. The field is extremely short and does not really stand out as a strong one. She might just turn out to be decent, but at this level, Shawna Robinson was good as well and look how her career turned out to be. 20. She's already got a pole, a win, 5 top 5s, 10 top 10s and sits 5th in the points. Plus, she's only 17 years old, so there's plenty of room for growth, too. 23. Willsome429 posted: 09.30.2018 - 10:12 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Danica is still far and away mre successful than Hailie. For all we know, she could flame out in her next step up. I'm not saying that will happen but in terms of legacy, Danica far outweighs Hailie at this point in time. 24. gary24fan posted: 09.30.2018 - 10:34 am Rate this comment: (0) (1) @18 Dan... Yep God forbid a woman do that. Only crusty old southern men driving black #3 cars are supposed to make such moves right? Right??? 25. Mannoroth posted: 09.30.2018 - 12:36 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) 18. What? Then why almost all people are saying he won on fuel mileage? She did win on fuel mileage and that just won't change the fact it's not a proper win under normal circumstances... The same like in NASCAR - some rookie wins at superspeedway, by fuel mileage or thanks to the rain = can't be taken seriously, unless he start winning races normally. Hailie Deegan won fair & square and managed to hold off even Derek Kraus, who dominated this race. That's impressive... 19. Decent or not decent, she sucked in NASCAR and was a threat not to win, but for other drivers on the track. By the way, the 10th place finisher's name is really Sting Ray Robb? Nice! I know that some fan from WWE RAW introduced himself as a "Brother" dressed as Hulk Hogan, when The Rock asked him about the name, but having a name like "Stingray" isn't bad at all. 26. Ryan posted: 09.30.2018 - 12:52 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) "God made bumpers and bumpers were made for bumping." It's already hard enough to pass on a quarter mile track at those speeds. There's going to be some bumping going on. I've never understood why people are more apt to feel sorry more for the people that block than the people that are getting blocked and bumped out of the way for holding them up. 27. Benjamin Schneider posted: 09.30.2018 - 12:53 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) @25 Eh, I think fuel mileage races are legitimate. Saving fuel is a different kind of skill, but still a skill. Running wide-open at Daytona or Talladega or getting lucky with the weather on the other hand, I understand why those wouldn't be considered the same. 28. Benjamin Schneider posted: 09.30.2018 - 12:53 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) @23 Right on William. Hailie has a lot of potential for sure. But until she makes it further up the ladder, we won't really know. As mediocre as Danica was, she certainly still has the bigger legacy at this point. Also, @18, haven't you ever heard of a short-track bump and run? I'd be frustrated if I were Cole too but the move was totally fair game in my opinion. 29. Jonathan King posted: 09.30.2018 - 1:30 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Aside from Deegan's win, Sting Ray Robb, Pro Mazda Driver, finished 10th in his first start in K+N West since 2016. 30. Me. posted: 09.30.2018 - 1:37 pm Rate this comment: (1) (2) @19 Considering she held off the likes of Rouse, Kraus, Thorn, and Partridge, what she did is extremely impressive. And you can't use the Shawna Robinson argument when Shawna Robinson drove junk for the majority of her career. It's pretty clear at this point that a 17-year-old Hailie is much better than a 30-plus-year-old Danicrash. 31. Me. posted: 09.30.2018 - 1:38 pm Rate this comment: (2) (0) @18 So? Racing's a dog-eat-dog sport. You have to be selfish if you want to be successful. I'd punt my own teammate to win my first race too. 32. Mannoroth posted: 09.30.2018 - 1:38 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) 27. Yeah, it's a skill, but winning like that can produce some upset winner that wouldn't win at all by normal circumstances. That's why I put it into the same category like a superspeedway win or a rain win. 33. Matt T posted: 09.30.2018 - 2:38 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Way to go Hailie! I had to double-take to make sure I was reading correctly! 34. We need more Onion posted: 09.30.2018 - 2:52 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) #30 - Kind of neglecting the fact that Shawna's original Polaroid ride won with 2 different drivers, once in each of the 3 seasons following her departure and that she had a couple of races with MWR or Kranefuss equipment, but yeah sure that doesn't fit the narrative, so it doesn't count... Mostly she drove crap, because she wasn't very good despite lower league success. And as for Danica, it's just the West Series, what part of that can't you understand? This is a series Larry f**king Gunselman won in. Yeah, Deegan is promising, but a win here means shit all and does not make you better than a decent Indycar driver. But if y'all insist on your narrative, then you don't get a say when people criticize say Franchitti. 35. This was no bump and run flat out dirty And before you bring up Dale Sr. I don't respect him either. 37. Mr.Victory posted: 10.01.2018 - 7:59 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) I won't rush her. Keep her in the West series for 1-2 more years. Move her to ARCA for a year or two, then slowly up to the top of NASCAR. Don't turn her into another Danica Patrick. 38. oldschoolracing519 posted: 10.01.2018 - 2:07 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) #77 Crew Chief should be R.B. Bracken 39.
