He had two runner-up finishes earlier this season and came so close in the prior Meridian race it's nice to see him finally break through. His first win came in his 12th start on the tour, all of them coming this year. Derrick Doering is a local racer who won the opportunity to run this race on the basis of being a regular at All American Speedway. Tweleve drivers from the track's late model and modified divisions, Doering running the latter, were eligible for a chance to race a Toyota for Bill McAnally in this race with Doering winning the honor. He promptly used the #12 Burning Barrel Camry to claim a top-10 finish. He said the K&N West car had nothing in his modified. Of note while the McAnally team is a very professional outfit in the modified ranks Doering is the only crew member for his car. 3. Barring any catastrophic bad luck, it will be really hard for Huddleson, Jones or Deegan to catch him. The fight for 2nd in points it a good one with 4 points separating 2nd through 4th in points. 5. The merger with ARCA better make this series more competitive. 6. nascarvd/racing-reference.info posted: 10.13.2019 - 7:57 am Rate this comment: (5) (1) @5 I guess seeing your comment that you did not watch the race live. Not a second without action on the track. An extremely competitive race. The number of lead changes is only a tiny percentage of the indication of a spectacular car race. 7. Very glad that a race can be accurately judged by someone who didn't even watch it, but that seems to be a recurring theme here. Kraus lost the lead and cut a rear tire down, sending him spinning and leaving him a lap down. It was mentioned in the ARCA/K&N announcement video last week that this race will remain on the West series schedule next year. 9. Some good drivers come out of there and they have good racing. 10. oldschoolracing519 posted: 10.29.2019 - 9:29 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) #50 crew chief for the this race and the next race should be R.B.
