Fields of this size are much better! 5. Mike posted: 10.30.2020 - 9:16 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) No Holley Hollan? 6. Same thing happened in the spring race here. Not sure if it is voluntary, personal-sponsor related, a dismissal by the team, a move made by TRD or if she wasn't approved to run tracks this large. Regardless, her rough season will come to a slightly premature end after 10 of the 11 races. 8. Love/Perkins would be tied in wins/T5/T10 what happens then Trotter is 36 points behind, would need 5 more cars to show up to mathematically have a shot at the title because she holds no tiebreakers. 9. Jack Wood is 12th, fresh off inking a 2021 deal with GMS, while Blaine Perkins is all the way back in 18th, sixth-best of the West regulars. Justin Lofton, returning to a stock car for the first time in over six years, will roll off 16th. 11. rm posted: 11.07.2020 - 12:46 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Never mind, didn't realize practice/qual was still going on...just ignore me, lol 12. Gio Scelzi seems like he got the worst of it, incurring pretty significant damage, even to the front windshield, while Todd Souza and Blaine Perkins spun with minimal damage. Kris Wright also appears to be involved, but only Scelzi will drop out of the race. 16. rm posted: 11.07.2020 - 2:22 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) And another yellow off the restart, Takuma Koga looks like he may have cut a right front tire down and smacked the wall. 17. rm posted: 11.07.2020 - 2:26 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Another lap doesn't even go up on the board before Bridget Burgess crashes. 18. Ty Gibbs is getting reeled in by Sam Mayer and David Gilliland as he starts to run up on the stragglers at the back of the pack. Truck regular Zane Smith has also gone behind the wall. 21. Timothy_Eklund posted: 11.07.2020 - 2:49 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) David Gilliland leads at the halfway break 22. rm posted: 11.07.2020 - 2:50 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Lead changes! Chris Hacker was attempting to pass the slow car of Bridget Burgess while leader Ty Gibbs went to put a lap on both drivers and Hacker got very loose, then about got ran over by Gibbs in the next corner. David Gilliland has the lead now, but Sam Mayer is right next to him and led at least one lap during that exchange. Gibbs also had a run-in with Joey Iest before the caution for the halfway break came out. The free pass will be 11th-place Gracie Trotter, running third among West regulars. Championship leaders Jesse Love and Blaine Perkins are both further down the order, a lap down. 23. rm posted: 11.07.2020 - 3:01 pm Rate this comment: (0) (1) Oh boy. Leader David Gilliland black flagged on the restart for changing lanes before the start-finish line, he was already down in the dogleg when he crossed the stripe. 24. Caution at lap 75. Looks like he backed it into the wall pretty good, courtesy of some contact with Howie DiSavino III. He was the highest running AMSW driver until this incident. Perkins will be pushed behind the wall, all but giving Love the title now. 27. Looks like very minor damage for Hacker. Corey Heim got in the wall on the restart and dropped from 2nd to 9th. Sam Mayer assumed second behind Ty Gibbs while David Gilliland nearly took out Taylor Gray and Todd Gilliland - the two other cars he owns! - when he went three-wide beneath them while racing for position. 30. Timothy_Eklund posted: 11.07.2020 - 3:24 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Another caution. Gilliland in 4th. He has a shot. 31. rm posted: 11.07.2020 - 3:28 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) That was incredible, wow Ty Gibbs hits the wall on the restart and David Gilliland steals the lead with an absurd 4-wide move! Just unbelievable. Mayer joins Gibbs on the short end of the stick as he crashes out with a flat tire. Will have only a handful of laps to go, if that, on the restart. 32. rm posted: 11.07.2020 - 3:32 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) David Gilliland takes the win after a last-lap pass on Ty Gibbs! 33. DGR went 0 for the first 35 ARCA-branded races this season, then won the last two - West races at Kern County and Phoenix. 43. Mile501 posted: 01.05.2021 - 2:29 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) The points shown here definitely don't make sense at first glance. It seems that everyone was given 50 extra points. Does it have anything to do with the ARCA system of awarding bonus points to drivers who participate in every 5 races? After looking at the race prior to this one, in which some drivers were given 50 extra points, I think that might explain it. 47.
