Mario Gosselin's second win of 1998.

Scott Sutherland's fourth-place finish was his best in ProCup
competition. He'd match it twice later in the season.

Bob Schacht drove a Buick in the race. His Ford had issues in practice.

Interesting to compare the sponsors for this race, with what we see
today, 20-odd years later. Back then national brands like Budweiser,
Coors, Coca-cola, Discount Auto Parts, and Freightliner were
represented, together with the smaller and more local sponsors. Today
there's not a whiff of national sponsorship.

It's also interesting to note how large of an involvement Hooters had,
given that Naturally Fresh Foods and Jackaroo sauces were Hooters
affiliate brands - so that's the series sponsor, race sponsor, and 4
cars all from one corporate entity.

Ray Dunlap and Larry Rice were the commentators. Marty Reid was the sole
pit road reporter.
