It was the USAR series' final visit to St. Augustine Speedway before the track closed the following December. 2. His pit crew were students at CrewSchool. 4. rm posted: 07.04.2019 - 9:40 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) This race had a hour-plus rain delay, which would explain the low speed and high time of race. Lap leaders: Christian 1-95, Johnson 96-100, Laughlin Jr 101-108, Fogleman 109-231, Gill 232, Fogleman 233-251 To the rear - 19 - failed inspection DNQs: Kevin Sasser, Scott York, John Clagett, Mark Whitaker, Tony Amico, Dave Smith (The one from South Carolina, I believe, he is the one of the 4 variants of David Smith on this site that would make the most sense to have attempted this race) This was Chuck Bown's first race since he was let go from his Busch team in mid-1999. He surprisingly - or maybe not surprisingly - ran in the top ten for a while before his car faded after the rain delay. Dodge made its Pro Cup debut with Ron Beauchamp Jr. and Danny Sammons. Beauchamp Jr. ran in the top 10 at times while Sammons was never competitive. 5. Rich posted: 09.16.2020 - 12:48 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Brian Drebber and Gene Crane were the commentators.
