Jay Fogleman crashed hard on the frontstretch early in this race, almost
totaling out the #4 Lucas Oil Ford after a high-speed hit into the
inside wall. Needing the car for later in the season though his team set
to work and thrashed it back into shape over the weeks that followed, he
drive the same car to victory at Smithton once it was fixed.
