|| *Comments on the 2005 Up The Creek Fish Camp & Grill 250:* View the most recent comment <#1> | Post a comment <#post> 1. rm posted: 12.30.2019 - 6:45 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) First caution - laps 6-12 - 38, 44 accident turn 1 Second caution - laps 18-26 - 01S, 02, 06, 18, 25, 28, 32, 38, 43, 44, 56, 66, 81, 88, 99 accident backstretch Third caution - laps 53-67 - 66, 88 accident frontstretch/20 accident turn 3 (two simultaneous incidents on different parts of the track, and while both accidents were terminal the 20's was far more serious) Fourth caution - laps 90-96 - 44, 52 accident turn 4 Fifth caution - laps 101-109 - 22, 99 accident backstretch (Fogleman got out of the car, and with TV cameras following he promptly flipped off Butler who had dumped him - much to play-by-play man Rick Benjamin's amusement) Sixth caution - laps 119-122 - 52, 53 accident turn 3 Seventh caution - laps 126-128 - 81 debris frontstretch (Clay Rogers knocked Huffman's rear bodywork completely off, killing Huffman's race when the team had to hurry to put the bumper and spoiler back on) Eighth caution - laps 130-133 - 40, 99 accident turn 1 Ninth caution - laps 141-146 - 01, 17, 28 accident turn 3 Tenth caution - laps 147-153 - 19, 30, 66 accident turn 1 To the rear - 01N, 01S, 30 - adjustments outside of impound; 40 - engine change (Both 01 cars with problems: Wayne Willard spun but kept it mostly from a lot of damage in qualifying, Stacy Puryear had an oil line drop on his lap) 43 DNF reason - handling 52 DNF reason - handling 88 DNF reason - crash 44 sponsor - Schaeffer's Motor Oil 52 sponsor - Percy L. Johnson 66 sponsor - Food City (no other decals) Attendance - 50,000 A lap 54/55 incident sent George Brunnhoelzl to the hospital briefly for observation as well as some fans in the stands, who were hit by high-flying debris. Thankfully everyone wound up ok despite the serious incident. Race winner Clay Rogers, Steven Wallace and Ken Butler III were each involved in three cautions, arguably 4 for Rogers when he knocked debris off of Shane Huffman's car to cause another yellow. Rogers seemed to get a pass for his experience and skill level, Wallace and Butler very much did not.
