This was the series' first visit to the Rockingham Speedway, the track had just reopened earlier that year. 2. Howard and Carl Long got together in Turn 1 and both got into the outside wall before spinning into the inside wall. This was Howard's fifth and to date last USAR pole position. Long is also notable as this was his first race back at Rockingham after his wild rollover there in the final NASCAR Cup race there in 2004. It was also his last start to date in the ProCup series. 3. The restaurant chain best known for its female waitresses and chicken wings had been the series title sponsor since the its 1997 inception and remains the only one to date as no new one has stepped up to date. This was also the USAR's final race under their old signature North/South then championship format. The end-of-season championship series was kept but the schedule was unified into just one series leading into it for 2009. 4.
