10 cars.... i'm curious to see how high the car count gets next year. if
the series dosen't fold by then.......

like i said earlier , look for a different car for next year that will
be more like what is run on weekly short tracks. the purse structure
that is scheduled to be used will more than double the car count if
implemented.

Alan Purkhiser takes the red #68 to victory lane for the second time
this year. He won this race in a backup car after breaking a piston in
his primary earlier in the day.

Caleb Holman won the pole and dominated most of the race but once the
#75 started smoking his chances of victory were blown away. Purkhiser
ran down and passed Holman shortly before the rear end finally let go
and the blue #75 was done for the night.

with all the positive spin that i've tried to put on things, a series
driver told me last night that it would be a surprise if ten cars made
the finale at orange county. he told me jeb burton will definitely not
be there. certainly hope the series will be healthier in 2013.
