How with 8 cars every race for the past two years and there as never had a race where every car finish. 6. The same percentage of DNF's for this race in Cup would mean that 27 cars finished. A bit fewer than normal, but not unusual. Kingsport Speedway is in the middle part of Tennessee, and is the longest distance away from the USAR teams bases in North Carolina. So the races here this season were the most likely to have the smallest fields and highest DNF's, just because of the expenses incurred for travel. 8. Charlotte to Kingsport = 215 miles (13 cars in May and 11 in Aug) Charlotte to Dillon = 115 miles (11 cars) Charlotte to Radford = 155 miles (16 cars) Charlotte to Myrtle Beach = 175 miles (13 cars) Charlotte to Montgomery = 405 miles (15 cars) Charlotte to Wiliamston, SC = 120 miles (10 cars) 9. These guys can drive at the local tracks and make good money, why spend a lot to travel and finish 5th place, run all the laps and make only 1600 dollars. That's barely enough to pay tire bills. These guys run hard and even with the small car counts the racing is pretty good. 13. rob posted: 09.03.2013 - 4:14 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) I work for Orange County Speedway, site of the Procup race on September 14. We're looking forward to having these guys race with us. We already have 17 cars pre-registered according to a member of the track media team. We saw a great race with these cars last October with about half that many entries. Hopefully most or all of these cars will be on hand. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
