The X-1R Pro Cup season concludes with reigning NASCAR Whelen
All-American champion Lee Pulliam scores his first-ever victory in the
series. This was just Pulliam's third start in the series.

Clay Rogers finishes fifth to cap his 2013 championship season. He won
six of the series' 14 races and claimed both the regular season and
playoff championships. It's his first ProCup title since 2010 but his
fifth overall and the third in a row that he has legitimately run for.

Is this the end of the Pro Cup Series? Could it be the reason for the

@2, no, series ownership met before the race to disciss possible rule
changes for 2014 and told team owners then that they already have verbal
commitments for 10-11 races in 2014.

Those possible rules changes better make this series more viable for
teams. 13 cars? This ain't IROC where it's truly the best of the best.
This is a development series, there needs to be more cars racing

This Pulliam kid seems legit. Would like to see him run some K&N or
Truck races.

I would like to see what Pulliam could do with a decent team in K&N Pro
or Trucks too. But, he's 25 and doesn't have a father than owns a
fortune 500 company, so he has zero chance of making a career in Nascar
sadly.

What happened to the days when you could still get a shot at NASCAR into
your 30s? Dick Trickle, Harry Gant, and now Mark Martin have all had
success well into their days pushing AARP status. Heck, even current
racer David Reuitmann was in his mid-30s before he even got a shot at
the Busch series and went on to win multiple Cup races. Racing is an
all-ages sport.

This ended up being Pulliam's only ProCup win. It was his final start in
the series.

Clay Rogers' title win here capped his tenure as a full-time racer in
the series.
