This race was also open to LMSC cars in an attempt to increase the field
size.

What good that did.

Sad, yes, But the name of the race is an amazing homage to a great team
formerly based near the track.

I think a lot of them went late model racing where the races pay better.

A few tried moving into part-time runs in higher series, series veteran
Jeff Agnew moved up to the Truck series for a bit (not sure what he's
doing in 2014 though).

It is. He showed a ton of talent in the Busch Series (2006 ROTY), only
to get completely dumped by Roush afterward. It's a shame.

Would he had a lot more late models come and run if they hadn't had this
race on Martinsville weekend for Late Models...the biggest race of the
year.
