Steven Wallace is a mid-packer even against THIS field? 2. BigWill20 posted: 04.01.2015 - 10:31 pm Rate this comment: (0) (1) One word: overrated But anyway, is this like a new series? Never seen it before 3. The Great Dave posted: 04.02.2015 - 12:16 am Rate this comment: (1) (0) No this is the completely revamped USAR/CARS Pro Cup series. Now running a Latemodel format. 4. Last year, this series was struggling to get half the number of cars that this race had. 5. Back in the mid-2000's that style was quite common and Pro Cup cars could be easily converted to run other series, but that hasn't been the case for many years. They were expensive to maintain and repair, and the collapse of the media coverage and sponsorship in the series led to the tour running "open" events that allowed Pro Cup, K&N, and late models to race in 2012. (USAR Hooter's Pro Cup became the CARS Tour a few years ago.) Now the CARS series runs two divisions, super late models and regular late models. The Supers are basiaclly the same cars that run nationwide: the ARCA/CRA Super Series, PASS, Southern Super Series, SRL Southwest tour, ARCA Midwest Tour - basically ABC bodied cars with an option of built or crate engines (all these series have their own rules, but are essentially the same thing). The Late Model Stock Car division is actually the remnants of the UARA tour that was active in the Carolinas and Virginia. These cars are the same as the NASCAR weekly series late models. I have to admit I was skeptical that this would ever work out, but I have to eat my crow and congratulate them for a job well done. Hopefully we won't see any four-car races for many, many years... 7. AnonymousEFR posted: 04.02.2015 - 10:18 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) A beautiful revival for a fallen series. Last year they struggled to get ten cars on the grid, and now take a look. By switching to the more standard and readily available car types, they have started to come close to what they once were. A couple races on tape delay and it'll be complete, though I don't quite see that happening anytime too soon since an American channel dedicated to motorsport like Speed no longer really exists. 8. I was thinking once USAR went down, that no one would post them. :( There is hope!!! 12. Anonymous posted: 04.03.2015 - 6:33 am Rate this comment: (1) (4) "Also, Nick Robinson is thirteen. What. " Agreed... this is getting out of hand. I know money talks, but you can't convince me a 13 year old is ready to drive these things. 13. 23andJoe posted: 04.03.2015 - 6:46 am Rate this comment: (3) (0) Considering that even younger drivers are racing, and winning, reality isn't waiting around for you to be convinced. Not saying I agree with allowing it, but the fact is some are. 14. b4il3y posted: 04.03.2015 - 6:53 am Rate this comment: (3) (0) #1 Its funny, that you've never had to run against a legacy like YOUR dad.. he might not be as good.. but at least he's trying. 15. Kyle Busch has almost 200 wins in the top-3 series, but he is nowhere the hell near mature enough to drive the cars. Maturity is a relevant issue, but there is an exceeding double standard when you have 12-year olds winning PASS races, yet a 15-year old can't drive a car on the highway. 16.
