This one turned out to be a battle of future Hendrick Motorsports Cup
series teammates. William Byron comes down from the NASCAR K&N East
series and scores a victory in his CARS Super Late Model debut by three
seconds over reigning NASCAR Xfinity Series champion Chase Elliott,
coming in to do a one-off CARS appearance.

Wow. 17-year-old William Byron, 19-year-old Chase Elliott, 24-year-old
Daniel Hemric, 16-year-old Kaz Grala, 17-year-old Quin Houff...some
talented young drivers were in this field.

This was Hemric's lone CARS Super Late Model Tour appearance to date and
he brought his Chevy home with a sixth-place finish.

Who knew the top two in this race would be future Cup winners in just a
