Tommy Lemons, Jr. breaks through and finally scores his first CARS Late
Model victory. The short track ace's first win came in his 15th start,
having run all of the tour's prior races throughout the last year and a
half.

Chad McCumbee leads much of the race and finishes second after being
passed late for the lead by Lemons. McCumbee races occasionally on the
CARS tour, but since leaving NASCAR he's devoted most of his time to
racing sports cars. He's a defending series champion and has Mazda
factory support as well. Nice to see him step back into a late model and
still perform very well.
