What a healthy grid size!

The CARS Late Models and Super Late Models will not support one another
as often this year. The SLMs have a nine race schedule lined up while
the LMs will run 12 rounds, and they will be together for only six of them.

Should be noted track was coming up badly during this event. One car had
a chunk of asphalt go through the windshield (luckily on the passenger
side), and reports of a fan getting hit by a chunk.

North Carolina racer Bobby McCarty wins his first CARS Late Model Stock
Tour race in just his second start in the series. He had a top-5 last
year on debut at South Boston and then turned in a dominant run to pick
up this win at Tri-County.

This was the CARS Late Model Stock Tour's first race ever that didn't
have a companion CARS Super Late Model Tour event running alongside it.
As Seibaru noted above though their schedules are finally deviating from
each other for 2018.
