Bubba Pollard starts off the CARS Super Late Model Tour season with his
second win in a row, holding off Brandon Setzer for the victory.

While it would be awesome to see Pollard get a shot at the higher levels
in top caliber equipment I think he's more of a Mike Eddy/Butch Lindley
type who is ultra successful on the short tracks and for the most part
wants to stay at that level. Taking a shot at the big time isn't for
everyone.

Simple. Pollard is a short track driver. NASCAR's top series do not run
short tracks.

Pollard wasn't planning on running this race until he showed up at the
track the morning of the race with his car. It was his first win ever at
the famed Hickory racetrack. It wasn't without more controversy, though,
as he evaded a penalty for spinning out that would have seen him start
at the tail end of the field instead of in 2nd after a caution.
