Surely DuPont, Tide, Realtree, etc didn't pay for it. 2. Anonymous posted: 08.07.2019 - 7:19 am Rate this comment: (2) (0) Shocked to see Drew Dollar DNQ in a DGR-Crosley car. 3. Repko ran this race with his #71 decorated in in the black-and-gold Realtree scheme that Dave Marcis ran in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series back in 1999, complete with faux Realtree sponsorship. Marcus was actually at the track for this race as part of an autograph event so when Repko won the race he joined him in victory lane and they celebrated together. 5. Each of the Throwback races Saturday was 138 laps or 50 miles. 9. Mile501 posted: 08.07.2019 - 7:59 pm Rate this comment: (0) (1) And 138x2=276, so perhaps it means 276 turns or something. But what I really meant to ask is, where did the 276 come from to begin with? Why 276 anything? 10. _Pale_Writer_ posted: 08.07.2019 - 8:53 pm Rate this comment: (5) (0) Hickory started using the 276 thing back in the early 70s. There is a Hickory 276 entry blank on eBay from 1974. It's for the number of laps to make up 100 miles. Before that, they used the mileage (i.e. Buddy Shuman 100) which was a lot less confusing. Perhaps it made too much sense to use the mileage. 11. Mile501 posted: 08.08.2019 - 5:51 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) @10 - Thanks for the info; that's what I was looking for! 12. Marcis was at the track for an autograph session and had no prior knowledge of the throwback. I do believe they met up for pictures. This is per the Dave Marcis interview during this weeks episode of the Dale Jr. Download 14. He did not make a lap in qualifying and had no provisional to fall back on. 15. Riggs' #10 was done up in his dad's old red, white, and blue Valvoline colors, complete with mock Dodge decals to harken back to Scott's days with the Everham team, and even replicated the Stanley Tools associate sponsor spaces while putting their current sponsors on them in the Stanley font. Deac McCaskill ran this race with a Rusty Wallace #2 Miller Genuine Draft throwback scheme. Even though the car was a Ford they put Pontiac emblems on it to tie in with the throwback. 16. Bobby McCarty took third driving a red-and-white #22 in this race styled to match Bobby Allison's old Miller American entry. 17.
