Based on the above, note the following:

- Jerry Goodwin qualified 6th but apparently did not race.
- Sidney Minton replaced Scott Bass in the #30, leaving the #69 car on
the sidelines.
- Sammy Pegram did not participate in qualifying, but started last on
the grid in the #21 Buick.
- Pete Orr replaced Lee Faulk in the #36.
