After Jody Ridley bumped Bobby Gill out of the way late to win the race,
continuing a feud between the two that dated back at least to this very
Five Flags/Mobile doubleheader weekend the year prior. Gill bumped
Ridley back on the cooldown lap and came on over to victory lane to have
a discussion with Ridley that was surely very pleasant and not at all
confrontational. Track security and the local sheriff's department were
able to separate the two crews before anything got ugly.

This was Jody Ridley's second and final win of the season on his way to
the championship. He didn't find victory lane again in 1992 but his
consistency propelled him to the crown.
