Casey Elliott, Bill Elliott's nephew, makes his NASCAR All-Pro debut and
has a career day, claiming the pole and leading 171 laps en route to a
second-place finish. It would be Elliott's best NASCAR performance.

Lanier local Debris Brown, another All-Pro debutant, comes up to play
with the touring NASCAR racers and does a good job defending his home
turf with a third-place run. It would be his only top-5 finishing six
All-Pro starts, all of which were in his native Georgia.

Much hype surrounded the debuts of Casey Elliott and Mardy Lindley, both
hailing from highly successful racing families in the southeast. Elliott
dominated the show but was snookered by Mike Garvey in the closing laps
and settled for second. Lindley struggled to find speed and dropped out
of the race at halfway.
