crash in the opening laps after he and 1993 Nashville track champion

Short track ace Mike Garvey bests visiting ringer Freddie Query and
NASCAR Winston Cup driver Ted Musgrave to claim the first of his two All
American 400 victories. Throughout much of its history the All American
400 was deliberately held on an off weekend for the Cup series to
attract some of the big names in with Dick Trickle and Darrell Waltrip
also scoring top-10s while Bobby Hamilton and Rich Bickle didn't finish.

Bob Jenkins, Ned Jarrett and Benny Parsons were the commentators. John
Kernan was the sole pit road reporter.
