A big-money late model show at Five Flags had been scheduled for the
night before this race, but rained out and was postponed to the same
night as this event. A few drivers had to pull out of the event,
including three drivers that were committed to running for the All-Pro
championship. One of those drivers faced with the tough decision was
Bobby Gill, who was scheduled to start from the pole at Five Flags.
Well, hopefully the win here was a solid consolation prize.
