This was Sauter's only start of 1994, his first major stock car win, and the second and last time the tour visited the Milwaukee Mile. (At the time of this post Sauter's name doesn't seem to be linking right onto the track page for winning this race) 2. RaceFanX posted: 02.07.2021 - 3:54 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) The field for this one was packed without outside talent looking to take on the All Pro regulars since this one was run on the undercard for the Fourth of July weekend NASCAR Busch Series race at the Milwaukee Mile. Race winner Tim Sauter was still mostly a Wisconsin short track regular in this era but was running some races in the ARTGO Challenge Series when he popped over to poach this NASCAR win. ASA regular Scott Hansen was a major contender for the win until his traditional #53 blew an engine while leading to hand Sauter a lead he would not relinquish afterward. While the visiting Sauter won the race eight of the top-10 finishers were NASCAR All Pro regulars led by Mike Cope and series staples Rick Crawford. Freddie Query, and Bobby Gill. NASCAR Busch Series title contender David Green crossed over to finish sixth here and would go on to finish runner-up behind Mike Wallace in the main event the next day. Mike's younger brother Kenny Wallace had a tough day here, with a blown engine right at the start, but bounced back for a top-5 in the Busch race. ASA regulars Steve Holzhausen and Joe Nott, the latter making the first of just two All Pro starts, also crossed over and recorded top-15 finishes. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
