Georgia racer Bobby Gill wins the All-American 400 to claim his fourth
win of the season and set the stage for a last-race title fight against
Mike Cope, who also placed in the top-5 here. Gill's win here would
prove to be his 10th and final one in the All-Pro series. While Gill ran
the All-American 400 10 times throughout the late 1980s-1990s, and often
ran well leading the race seven times, his win here marked the only time
he finished in the top-5 of the famous late model classic.

Pole speed - 111.390 mph
Margin of victory - 6 carlengths
Attendance - 15,000
There were 16 lead changes among 12 drivers

Part of the festivities for this race was a series of celebrity vs.
NASCAR legends races on the infield quarter mile. An entry list of 30+
celebrities would take to the track to race legends cars against each
other, with the top 15 celebrities then advancing to the "main event"
where they would go head to head with 15 retired NASCAR legends such as
Benny Parsons, Donnie Allison, Bobby Allison and local favorite Coo Coo
Marlin.
