ASA ace Gary St. Amant went winless in his main series in 1994 but still
got to visit victory lane thanks to this crossover appearance. This was
St. Amant's first-ever start in the NASCAR Slim Jim All-Pro Series and
he won it.

Butch Miller, the 1994 ASA champion, also pops over to make his only
All-Pro start of the season and finishes an impressive third.

The All-Pro series championship battle goes down to a thrilling
conclusion in the final race with Mike Cope facing off against Bobby
Gill, and both seeking their first titles, with Jody Ridley a distant
third. Cope and Gill both turned in top-5 runs here at Myrtle Beach but
despite Gill besting Cope by one spot Cope held on to win the
championship by just 4 points. Cope would go on to be a two-time
champion on this tour while Gill moved on to racing in other short track
series, this was his last race as an All-Pro regular.

Margin of victory - 2 seconds

This was billed as Harry Gant's final race, though that only held true
for about a year and a half until he came back as a surprise replacement
for an injured Bill Elliott at the Winston in 1996, later running a
partial schedule for most of the rest of the Truck Series season that year.

Wayne Willard bounced back from an early green-flag pit stop that left
him two laps down and had just gotten back on the lead lap as one of the
fastest cars on track when he crashed out in a solo incident.

Mike Cope provided the #33 Manheim Auctions Oldsmobile that Harry Gant
wrecked in this race. After Harry's last ride Cope repaired the car and
it was sold by Manheim Auctions as a publicity stunt. A car dealer
bought it but it apparently quickly found it way back into racing action.
