Goodson's title hopes took a hit when he blew a tire early in the race but he recovered to finish 12th and edge Cope for the title despite his rival finishing in the top-5. Cope raced for Bobby Labonte's team throughout the 1995 season but the Winston Cup racer decided to take his team out of the All-Pro ranks after this year. Cope bought all of Labonte's equipment, convinced Penrose Meat Snacks to stick around as a sponsor, and went on to reclaim his title in 1996. Goodson opted not to defend his All-Pro title in 1997 as he moved over to race in the USAR Hooters Late Model Series but would return to the series in 1997. Freddie Query picks up his third win of 1995. Query wouldn't return to the All-Pro tour full-time in 1996 as he followed Goodson into the USAR Hooters Late Model Series but would return to the NASCAR tour for a full campaign in 1998. Wisconsin's Steve Holzhausen, a former All-Pro regular, makes his only start of 1995 and what would turn out to be his final one in the series and makes it count with a top-10 run. Michigan racer Dave Sensiba, a driver better known for ASA racing, comes south to make his only All-Pro start but blows an engine very early in the race. 2. I remember seeing his #2 HealthSouth Ford firewall deep in the outside wall after a wreck, possibly a hung throttle or something, with the door hanging off but I'm not sure if that was this race or another earlier in the season. 3. rm posted: 09.06.2020 - 3:29 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Query's winnings - $28,385 36 sponsor - Red Dog 43 sponsor - The Regency This was the last time the Myrtle Beach 400 counted for All-Pro points. 4. Goodson led Cope by 68 points and Barfield by 90 when the green flag dropped. Barfield won the pole and led early but wasn't a factor for the win. Goodson's 12th-place run was enough for him to best Cope by 35 points and Barfield by 111 to win the championship. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
