Sweet Potatoes Though Long had Jimmy V Foundation logos on the car, the foundation wasn't actually putting any money into his racing efforts. It was Long and his team's idea and decision to hopefully bring some awareness to Jimmy V and cancer research. Shane Hall tried to make the whole race on one tank of gas, and the reason being was because the team felt there was inclement weather in the area, and it could play a role in the outcome. Unfortunately for them, the weather never came, and Hall's car failed to fire off on the final restart. Toby Porter also tried to make it to the finish without making a pit stop, and was just behind Hall for a long stretch of laps. But a flat tire with about 40 to go took him out of contention. 6. It's nice to see one of these ESPN Martinsville All-Pro races turn up on YouTube. 8. The bra company would sponsor Kirk throughout the rest of 1996 in All-Pro and follow her up to the Truck series in 1997 with Geoff Bodine's team before they parted company about two-thirds of the way though that season. The #52 carried an on-board camera in this race and Kirk got a lot of coverage as a result. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
