Terry Brooks pulls off one of the greatest upsets in the history of all
NASCAR racing by claiming his only All Pro Series victory. Brooks, a
local racer at Concord Speedway, took the lead on the last lap when
Freddie Query and Bobby Gill wrecked at the entrance to turn 1 on the
last lap. Brooks then held off Hal Goodson for the win. Brooks ran the
last 190 laps on 7 cylinders after dropping one early. Brooks took
advantage of his cars increased handling and the wreck of the leaders on
the green-white-checker to take the win. It was Brooks' only series top-10.
