Goodson's early issues left him trapped a lap down while Fultz ran in the top-15 for most of the event until he got dinged for speeding on pit road during a green flag pit stop on lap 72, losing a lap just before a caution bunched up the field. With the two drivers now on the same lap Goodson fought back from his earlier issues to finish just one spot behind Fultz and edge him for the title by just two points in the process. Rookie Sean Studer picks up the first of his two All-Pro poles, a nice rebound from his DNQ at Homestead at the the season opener.
