The late Gary Terry's second place finish here was his best in All Pro
competition.

Very first race ever held at the Brand New Kentucky Speedway at the
time. Held the day before the Truck Series race.

Billy Bigley was the first winner in track history after Wayne Anderson
is DQ'd. What a way to kick off the opening weekend of the raceway. Had
he not been disqualified, this would have kicked off a stretch where
Wayne Anderson won 6 out of 7 races. As it was, outside of the ensuing 6
race stretch that featured 5 wins and a 5th, Anderson never finished
better than 9th the entire rest of the season. Despite the incredible
run, many of his other races left much to be desired and he took 6th in
the championship at season's end.

Bigley's winnings - $15,175
Reutimann's winnings - $1,920
Anderson's winnings - $0. Crime doesn't pay!

Pole speed - 150.038 mph (Restrictor plates were used. Bryan Reffner
shattered the short-lived track record the next day in Truck qualifying
before David Keith established the year's stock car track record in ARCA
qualifying the next month. Keith's mark would stand until the 3rd Busch
race at Kentucky in 2003)

Attendance - 36,210 (This would be the largest mark in series history as
they packed in the fans to see the first-ever race at the latest
superspeedway in NASCAR.)

First caution - debris
Second caution - 57 accident turn 1 (Carlson inherited the lead when
Billy Bigley dove onto pit road just ahead of him. Carlson led for maybe
the length of the front straightaway before he promptly backed it into
the turn 1 wall. Harsh.)

Also found that the race was supposed to be called the Cincinnati
Post/Cincinnati Enquirer 150 but the name didn't stick for reasons unknown.
