Tim Sauter's first All Pro start in nearly five years, and only one of
2001, sees him claim his second and final victory in the series. Sauter
delivered when he severely needed a good run. He started 2001 running
full-time in the Busch series but lost his Xpress Motorsports ride about
a month before this race after the team shut down following a stiff
cheating penalty for getting busted with an illegal roll cage at
Kentucky Speedway.
