Brian Hoppe's final All Pro/Southeast start nets him his only victory in
the series. Hoppe was a regular in the NASCAR Midwest series at the time
of this race.

This race was also Keith Gardner's last career race.

Hoppe's winnings: $4,000

There was an 8 car inversion. JR Norris won the pole.

The third caution, a big multi-car wreck, featured a lengthy red flag.

Second caution - 00 accident (Faulk suggested he was intentionally
punted, but wouldn't name names)
Third caution - 1, 19, 55, 71, 74, 89, 90, 92, 98 + accident turn 2 (14
total supposedly. Kevin Hogan claimed he never touched Ray Skillman to
set off the melee, though a donut on Hogan's door suggested otherwise,
as did being called into the series trailer after the race)
Fifth caution - 17, 49, 98 accident
Sixth caution - 63, 92 accident
Seventh caution - 63 oil on track turn 3

Pole speed - 116.621 mph by JR Norris

Track name - Music City Motorplex

The big wreck essentially ended Terry Mason's Southeast series career,
he totaled his last short track car and suffered non-serious injuries
which kept him from running the next weekend's race at Hickory. Mason
only had a speedway car left and he ran it at the Nashville
Superspeedway as well as Kentucky later in the year. Mason crashed early
on at Kentucky too and never returned to a NASCAR touring division after
that.

The wreck also derailed Jarod Robie's year as Robie broke his wrist.
Robie attempted a Truck race at Memphis later in the year, but never
made another major touring start after this race.
