The San Antonio racer held his own against the Southeast regulars as he qualified fifth, thus starting on the front row, then led a nice chunk of the race as he ultimately finished third. Bendele hoped to use his strong run here to springboard into running the Southeast Tour full-time in 2005 but ultimately that did not come to pass. Fellow Texan Chris Davidson also had a strong run. Davidson qualified well but fell back early after he ran over some debris and cut a tire. He then proceeded to race back up through the field to finish fifth, he's best finish on the tour at that time. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
