Erik Darnell records his first and only NASCAR Southeast Series win.
This was Darnell's first major NASCAR victory in any series, 2004 was
the only year he ran full-time in the series.

Kevin Prince had the dominant car and led the first 134 laps but Darnell
got by him late. Prince's bid for his first win came apart when another
car started smoking and he slowed in the belief there was about to be a
caution, there wasn't and Darnell caught and passed him because of the
mistake. Prince's second-place run again matched his career best finish
in the series.
