Jeff Fultz wins at Myrtle Beach for the third year in a row as the
Southeast/All-Pro series makes its final visit to the historic track,
the site of its second-ever race back in 1991.

This race was rained out from July 17th, which is why there was an
unusually high number of no-shows at the back of the pack.

Myrtle Beach was originally on the schedule for August of 2005, but
after Hurricane Katrina hit and caused extensive damage in the southeast
and a huge spike in gas prices for the region, the race was cancelled as
the series opted to look at the bigger picture instead. Racers were
encouraged to stay home instead of making the haul out for the race, and
with the demise of the NASCAR regional late model tours set for 2006,
Myrtle Beach never hosted another Southeast series race.

Michael Faulk was in the #00

41 sponsor - Lake Sealers Environmental
92 sponsor - Universal Chevrolet

Faulk blew a motor in practice and used Dusty Williams' backup car for
qualifying and the race. Williams blew his own engine just before
practice ended and had more engine problems with his swapped motor,
citing battery issues as the reason why the car began to lose power
after the green flag flew.
