All his wins came in 2005, he won the last two races of the year in a row. Two-time series champion Wayne Anderson returns to the tour to make his only start of the 2005 season. Anderson finished 10th in what ultimately turned out to be his last race in the series. This was the last Southeast Series race at Alabama's Montgomery Motor Speedway. Touring series stock cars did return in early 2006 though as the USAR ProCup series added this track back onto its schedule. 2. Fultz came into this race with the points lead and only needed to finish 15th or better to claim the crown no matter what his rivals did. That scenario ended up playing out as Fultz' Chevy was sidelined late in the race by battery issues but he still finished 15th to edge race winner Helton and runner-up Hogan. Fultz beat Hogan for the title by just 12 points with Helton third 21 points back. 3. cautionlitenews posted: 08.08.2017 - 6:20 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) First NASCAR race for Future Xfinity Series underdog hero, Ryan Sieg 4. All of them came very early on in the races, too, with engine issues befalling him in the opening laps at both South Georgia and here at Montgomery. Norris also wrecked solo at the Nashville Fairgrounds and finished second-to-last in four of his five DNFs - and the other DNF forced him to finish last. Despite the feast or famine year, Norris was still very much in the title hunt until the end, as eventual champion Jeff Fultz had starter issues at Montgomery that wound up being more elaborate than the initial diagnosis of a dead battery. As alluded to above, the worst-case scenario for Fultz nearly happened but he held on to take the last year-long title in the series. Fultz ran just one of the four races in 2006 before the dissolution of the series, a championship that fittingly Norris won instead. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
